On the last day of my trip to Northern Italy we went to Mount Grappa. As I alway called it „The Schnapps Mountain“. To get there has been very comfortable, since there is a road which is winding up the mountain. A 30 kilometers long, only slightly rising and with a lot of curves and serpentines. It seems to be great for cycling. Since we have seen a lot of people cycling up this road.
Up on the mountain one can enjoy a fantastic view on the mountains in the region. But, this is not the main attraction on mount grappa. After the first world war they built a big monument up there for the soldiers killed in action. One, not so big part, for the ones from the Austrian-Hungarian empire, and a much bigger and more bombastic parts for the italian ones.
Oh my I should have given you my address I would have loved to have a postcard from Monte Grappa. Love Grappa…if I find it here 🙂
Wie immer, tolle und beeindruckende Bilder. Danke. 🙂
